Silk Fabric-Blue Tsumugi-Part 1

This is a silk fabric woven in the "hige" tsumugi style. It has the distict texture of what appears to be loose knots and threads throughout the fabric. The fabric itself throws its colour a little according to the light, as a two tone silk will, between a deep royal blue and a smokey grey blue with a dull sheen. The thread is a deep navy or possibly black. I have tried to represent the colour as best as possible in the photo. It is lightweight and with a stiff drape. It is an outstanding and classy piece of silk and would suit a great variety of uses. It is in excellent condition with no flaws, marks or pin holes. It is cut directly from the bolt in one piece according to the length purchased.
